Jorge Benitez is the Davenport Men's Athlete of the Week after leading his Panthers to a first place finish at the league's second jamboree this past Monday at Sunnybrook CC.

The junior fired a career-low and conference scoring record for DU with a 68 (4-under par) to help the Panthers post a team score of 296 which was one better than Indiana Tech.

Benitez will lead the team into Siena Heights this week for the league's third jamboree as Davenport now has a 12 shot lead.
