Dominez Burnett was named the Davenport Male Athlete of the Week this week after he led the men’s basketball to couple more wins this week to move to 7-0 overall on the season and 3-0 in the WHAC.
 
To start the week, Burnett had 22 points in a conference road win against Aquinas on Wednesday. Burnett was 5-for-10 from the field and was a11-for-12 from the free throw line. Burnett scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half against the Saints.
 
In the second game of the week for the men’s basketball team, Burnett tied his season high point total with 29 and was two rebounds short of his second double-double on the season. Davenport went on to beat Madonna 70-57.
 
Burnett will lead the men’s basketball team into another busy week when they host Jamestown (N.D.) on Monday and then host Indiana Tech on Tuesday before the Thanksgiving break.
