Daina Grazulis was named the Davenport Female Athlete of the Week after she posted two more double-doubles this week in a pair of conference wins for the women’s basketball team. Grazulis has led the Lady Panthers to a 5-0 start to the season and is 3-0 in the WHAC.
 
In 16 minutes of play on Wednesday, Grazulis scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against Aquinas in the first road game of the season for the Lady Panthers. The senior was 9-16 from the field in the game.
 
On Saturday against Madonna, Grazulis scored 22 points and grabbed a season high 17 rebounds against the Crusaders. After shooting just 6-for-13 from the field in the first half, Grazulis was 5-for-5 in the second half to lead the Lady Panthers to a 73-55 win over Madonna.
 
Grazulis and the women’s basketball team will have a pair of games this week as they host Indiana Tech on Tuesday before they travel to Joliet, Ill., to face St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday.
