Kevin Rich was named the Davenport Male Athlete of the Week this past week as he helped the men’s basketball team to a 1-1 record in two games last week. Rich scored 23 points in their loss against Jamestown (N.D.) and closed out the week with 11 points against Indiana Tech.
 
In the first game of the week against Jamestown, Rich was on fire to start the game as he score 20 of his 23 points in the first of the game against the Jimmies. Rich tied his career-high in points with 23 and was 5-for-8 from behind the arc.
 
On Tuesday against Indiana Tech, Rich had 11 points in the game. He was 4-for-8 from the field including one three ball. The redshirt-sophomore also chipped in with four rebounds and a pair of assists as the Panthers beat the Warriors 71-57.
 
Rich and the men’s basketball team will be back in action this week with a pair of WHAC matchups against Siena Heights on Wednesday and at Cornerstone on Saturday.
