Chase Burgess is the Davenport Male Athlete of the Week after he scored the game winning goal in overtime to give the Davenport men's soccer team the schools first NAIA team National Championship.

Burgess was fed a corner kick from teammate Lito Esquivel, and the 6-5 Burgess was able to rise above the defender and put it in the back of the net to clinch the National Championship for Davenport.

Burgess closed out the season with six goals on the year to help the Panther to the NAIA National Championship.
