Alexander Lake was named this week’s Davenport Male Athlete of the Week as he set a new school record in the shot put with a throw of 14.93 meters in the prelims, which was the third best in the seeding round.
 
Lake then throw 14.37 meters in the finals to finish the event in seventh place. This has been the third time that Lake has broken the school record in the shot put. Lake also finished in fifth place in the weight throw with 16.05 meter throw in the finals.
 
Lake will be in action next weekend as the track and field teams will partake in the Aquinas Furniture City Classic.
