Davenport University Athletics

Alex Watier is the Davenport Male Athlete of the week after he helped the men’s golf to team to a first place finish at the Heritage Hills Classic. Watier also picked up medalist honors at the team’s first event of their spring schedule.
 
Watier shot a two-under 70 in the first round and followed it up with a one-under 71 to finish the event with a three-under 141. Waiter was the only one in the field to shot under par on both days as he won the event five strokes.
 
The men’s golf team will be back on the course in two weeks as they head to Holland, Mich., for the Furniture City Classic, hosted by Hope College on April 7th.
