Emily Maves showed no effects of a long offseason as she started off in mid-season form to begin the 2016 campaign at the Martin Methodist Meltdown. Maves was 2-0 with a 0.58 ERA in 12 innings of work. She allowed three hits, two walks and struck out 22 batters.
