Chris Hathaway joins the Davenport men's rugby coaching staff in August 2021. Hathaway was a member of the DU rugby team from 2009-13 and was a prop for the Panthers. He was a part of two national championships in 2010-11 (DII) and 2011-12 (D-IAA). He was a graduate of Lakeview in St. Clair Shores, Michigan and was team captain and MVP.
He worked in the Denver, Colorado public school system from August 2017 to August 2021. He was a middle school math/smartlab teacher. He earned his bachelor's degree from Davenport in 2013 with an emphasis in sport management and has a master's in teaching in 2019 from Relay Graduate School of Education.Â
