The Panthers men's golf team has not been playing exactly the way they had hoped for as they near the end of the fall season, but that all changed Monday as Davenport set a new WHAC scoring record by shooting a team score of 286 (-2). The score, which breaks the old record set by Cornerstone in 2003 of 287, was the Panthers fifth straight victory at a WHAC Jamboree. Nick Boone and Kevin Palmer tied for medalist honors as they posted 2-under par 70's. Zac Bested shot a 1-under 71 and was followed in scoring by Adam Thomas who posted a 75. The win gives Davenport the maximum 35 points with only two events left on the WHAC schedule. They will return to action on Saturday, September 29 when they travel to Indiana Tech for WHAC Jamboree #6.
