In their final game of the Division II Showcase hosted by Grand Valley State, the Panthers men's hockey team downed Wagner College 5-4. Davenport improves to 2-3 on the year and finished the showcase at 2-1 with their other win coming against Florida Gulf Coast. Davenport dominated the first two periods of the game as they mounted a 5-0 lead heading to the final period. Things got a little sloppy from there but the Panthers were able to hold on for the victory. You can catch Davenport's first official home game on Sunday, October 7 when they host Ferris State in their first GMHL conference game. Face-off is set for 12:00 PM at Patterson Ice Rink.
