The hockey team won 6-1 on Saturday against ACHA D1 University of Buffalo. Scotty Knight started in goal for the panthers and played solid as he stopped 26 shots and held the Bulls scoreless for almost 55 minutes. The Panthers with the sweep outscored the University of Buffalo 17-1 over the weekend.
"After a lopsided victory it is very difficult to stay motivated for the second game of the weekend series. We continued to play well defensively and shut down the Bulls offense" says Coach Paul Lowden. The panthers received balanced scoring from 6 different players. Goal scores were Adam Thomas, Jeff Kraemer, Eric Troup, Will Collar, Bobby Collar and Dayne Gluting. Eric Troup, Chris Green and Bill McSween also added two assists each. The Panthers will continue their lengthy road trip with a 15 hour bus ride to Lynchburg, Virginia next Friday to take on ACHA D1 Liberty University in a two game weekend series.
