Athens, Ohio - With new line-up changes for the second game, the Panthers were determined not to be swept. The Panthers opened the scoring at the 2:37 mark of the first period with a goal from Kevin Doyle assisted by Jonah Rogowski. After the goal, the Bobcats came out strong throwing a lot of shots at Panther net minder Eddie Wheeler. He was up to the task, stopping everything he looked at and the Panthers stay composed to score a last minute goal in the first period to go ahead 2-0. The Panthers gained momentum while outplaying the Bobcats in a scoreless second period and in the third period the Panthers were in control until the midpoint of the period. The Bobcats scored back to back goals in a minute and a half to tie the game, but Davenport's Bobby Collar scored a power play goal with six minutes remaining assisted by Kevin Doyle to put the Panthers ahead to stay. A last minute empty net goal by Jeff Kraemer sealed the victory and series split 4-2.
