Box Score

Hershey, Penn. - Davenport completed a sweep of their opponents at the ACHA Showcase in Hershey, PA today as they defeated D2 rival Wagner College. The win is also the 11th straight of the year for Davenport as they improve to 11-0-0.

Davenport extended is school record winning streak to 20 games on Sunday afternoon when they defeated Wagner College. The matchup was between two of the top teams in all of ACHA D2.

Wagner opened the scoring just eight minutes into the game, but Jonah Rogowski tied the score less than five minutes later. DU's opponent struck again towards the end of the period when Wagner converted a power play opportunity to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. The second twenty minutes was all Davenport as they opened up the game with two more goals from Bobby Collar and Rogowski. They then put two more on the board in the final period when Ben Dykstra and Kevin Moodie both found the back of the net. Moodie's goal came on a shorthanded 2 on 1 breakout that completely took everything out of Wagner.

Chris Joswiak posted the win for the Panthers in goal as they improve to 11-0-0 on the year. DU will begin GMHL play this weekend when they welcome Indiana University to Grand Rapids. It will be the first matchup between the two teams since they met last March in the National Championship game.
