Jackson, Mich. - In his first full game in goal, Davenport's Tim Davis posted a shutout in the Panthers 4-0 victory over Jackson CC. The win is the 4th in a row for DU and second straight shutout.
After taking a nice break from game action, the D3 team took to the ice tonight and posted a solid 4-0 shutout of Jackson CC for their 10th win of the season. Jon Kuzava got things started in the opening period when he put away the first goal of the game at the 16:27 mark. Jordan Steger and Chad Ouellette were credited with the assists as DU took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Davenport would go on to add two more goals in the second period with the first coming at the 9:08 mark when Shawn French posted his first goal of the season on a great pass from Adam Tomacari. Just over a minute later, the Panthers struck again as Steger added a goal from Jason Kraemer and Ouellette.
The final Panthers goal came in the 3rd period when Chad Oullette got into the goal scoring column on an assist from Kraemer with just 2:20 remaining in the game.
Tim Davis, playing his first full game in net for the Panthers, posted the shutout which also marks the second consecutive game that Davenport has blanked their opponent.
DU will look to keep up its winning ways when they take on Saginaw Valley State on Friday, December 12 at Patterson Ice Center. Game time is set for 8:00 PM.
