Fort Myers, Fla. - The men's hockey team prepared for the National Tournament by claiming the regular season and conference tournament titles in one of the toughest leagues in the country and it is showing in Florida as the Panthers have dominated both opponents in Pool Play. DU has claimed two easy victories (8-1 over Kentucky and 11-2 over Bryant) in the first two games of the tournament.

Davenport, which came into the tournament as the Central Region's #1 ranked team, entered pool play against the fourth seed from Kentucky. DU dominated from the opening face-off and never looked back as they claimed a 8-1 victory in the opening game.

The Panthers followed up the offensive showdown on Wednesday with another onslaught on Thursday as they defeated Bryant College 11-2.

Davenport will close Pool Play on Friday when they take on Eastern Washington. The winner of each pool will then move on to the National Semifinals on Saturday morning.
