Kendalville, Ind. - A typical spring day of cold and windy weather turned out to be okay for the men's golf team as they held on to post their first victory of 2008. A 2nd round team score of 314 put the Panthers at 623 for two days which was 11 shots clear of the second place team. Adam Thomas earned medalist honors as he defeated fellow Panther Kale Waaso in a playoff.

DU was able to hold on to their first day lead as the weather turned for the worse on Saturday afternoon as the winds increased and there was even some hail that made its way into the region.

Adam Thomas led the charge for DU as he posted a two day total of 150 which was tied by Kale Wasso, but the Junior was able to win in a playoff. Nick Boone shot 84 and Zac Bested followed with an 80 after a disapointing opening round.

Davenport will now play in the prestigous Brickyard Classic in Indianapolis on Monday and Tuesday.
