Plymouth, Ind. - The NAIA National Championships came to a conclusion on Friday afternoon and the Panthers completed the week with a 17th place finish. DU shot 311 on the final day to post a four-round total of 1223.

The 72-hole mark sets a new school record for team score and also the individual mark set by Nick Boone (303) is top in the men's golf record books.

The final round was not the kindest to the Panthers, especially as they tried to get off to a fast start. The 13th hole continued to be the point where decent rounds turned bad as DU played that hole in 12 over-par.

DU rebounded though as they posted solid scores on the incoming nine led by Boone with a 1-under 35. Adam Thomas led the final round charge with a solid 75 and was followed in scoring by Kale Waaso (78) and Nick Boone and Zac Bested who each posted 79's.

The season comes to a close as the most succesful season in Men's Golf History for Davenport and with all five of these players returning next year, the expectations will be high.
