BYRON CENTER, Mich. - Davenport defeated IPFW 4-3 in overtime to advance to the regional finals with a chance to earn a berth to the national tournament. Zack Feher (Livonia, Mich.) scored the game winning goal in overtime for DU.

In the first period the Panthers scoring got started off a goal by Justin Welker (Speedway, Ind.) that was assisted by Norm Farr (Jenison, Mich.). DU would then add another goal that was shared by Jordan Permoda (Wayland, Mich.) and Michael Stedman (Riverside, Ont.). IPFW would add a goal of there own and end the 1st period with DU up 2-1.

The Panther defense would give up another goal in the 2nd to send them into the 3rd period tied 2-2.

In the third both teams would add goals, with Welker getting his second of the night. Tied 3-3 they would head into overtime and DU would come out on top with a game winning goal from Feher from Sam Waldhart (Walker, Mich.).

With the win Davenport will take on Oakland University with the winner advancing to the National Tournament. Game time is set 4:30pm.
