SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - Diane Favela,
Emily Vogl and
Denisse Favela each won their singles matches but the Cougars of Spring Arbor hung tough in the 4th-6th singles and two doubles matches to take the 5-4 win. DU will conclude their inaugural season on Sunday at Adrian College.
After defeating Indiana Tech on Friday by the score of 5-4, the tides were turned on Saturday as the Lady Panthers fell to 5-8 on the year.
The Favela twins each won their singles matches with Diane winning 6-0, 6-3 and Denisse winning 6-1, 7-6.
Emily Vogl (Wyoming, Mich.) got the third win in the singles session with a 6-3, 6-1.
The team of
Denisse Favela (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) and
Emily Vogl got DU their fourth point but the host Cougars were too much winning 5-4.
Davenport takes on Adrian College on Sunday.
