Box Score Gary, Ind. - No. 11 Davenport defeated No. 18 Indiana Northwest 98-66 on Tuesday night. Five different players scored in double digits as the Panthers improved to 5-1 on the season. Davenport will be back in action on Nov. 28 as they face off against Northern Michigan at the DU Student Center.
Davenport used a strong first half to put away Indiana Northwest. The Panthers put up 55 points in the first half.
Kayleigh VanKeulen gave the Panthers their biggest lead of the first half at 22 points after hitting a 3 pointer towards the end of the period.
Karlee Despres led the Lady Panthers in scoring with 18 while
Karli Harris (13),
Carrie Grubius (12),
Julie Janish (11), and VanKeulen (10) each scored in double digits.
Davenport defense gave them a lift as they recorded 17 steals and forced 35 turnovers.
Kia Frazier led the Panthers with 5 steals on the night.
The Panthers will be back in action on November 28 as they face off against Northern Michigan. The game is scheduled to start at 6:00pm at the DU Student Center.
