GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After taking a well-deserved time away from action this week, the fifth-ranked Davenport women's basketball team gets back into action Saturday against Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference foes Madonna, beginning a season-most five-game homestand. Opening tip against the Crusaders is at 1 p.m.

Saturday's contest will also be the last WHAC counter for a while. After playing the Crusaders, Mike Williams' Panthers will play the remaining four games on the 2012 calendar in non-conference play, including their Holiday Tournament on the final weekend before the New Year.

Madonna will be a tough matchup for the Panthers. The Crusaders are coming off a 54-42 home victory over Cornerstone last Saturday. Kaylee McGrath tied her season-best 18 points and added nine rebounds to help lead the Crusaders to the win. She was also one of three players to reach double figures for points as Michelle Lindsey and Heather Pratt both scored 10 points. McGrath paces the team by averaging 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, while Shantelle Herring and Pratt lead the team in assists with 24.
