Davenport Rolls to 91-43 Victory Over Lourdes

SYLVANIA, Ohio – After falling on Wednesday to No. 6 Concordia, Davenport rebounded quickly with a 91-43 road victory over Lourdes. DU shot 54% from field hitting 30 of 56 shots and are now 23-3 overall and 13-1 in WHAC play.

Leah Sevcik (14), Linnea Brandholm (12) and Abbey Hengesbach (10) all came off the bench to post double digits, leading all Davenport scorers. Karli Harris recorded seven steals and Alison Bouman pulled down five rebounds.

DU's defense was strong right from the start of the game. In the first half they forced 24 Lourdes turnovers and a total of 37 in the game. Davenport went on a 19-0 from the 16:21 mark to the 8:57 mark and only allowed 17 first half Lourdes points to take a 48-17 lead into the locker room.

In the second Davenport forced four straight Grey Wolves turnovers leading to four DU points right out of the gate. DU's defense continued to play solid holding the host team to under twenty points until the 14:09 mark.

Davenport was able to extend their lead to as many as 52 points finishing with the 91-43 victory. On the day the Panthers shot 82% from the free throw line hitting 22 of 27 shots compared to just 63% from Lourdes.

DU will be back in action on Wednesday for their last home game of the regular season. The Panthers will take on Madonna for the second time this season as they defeated the Crusaders 73-69 back on January 7th. DU's four seniors will be honored and all of the night's footage will be available live on “The DAN”.

Davenport is now 2-0 all-time against Lourdes, outscoring the Grey Wolves 184-97…Karli Harris posted a season high and tied her career high with seven steals and Brandholm posted twelve points for the second time in her freshman season...DU's 54% field goal percentage is a season high
