HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Davenport dropped only 11 games in the entire match today as they posted their seventh sweep of the season with a 9-0 win over Huntington University. The win lifts the No. 25 ranked Lady Panthers to 15-5 on the year with an important 3-match week upcoming.
Davenport continued to show they are one of the best teams in the midwest and in the country as they posted their 7th 9-0 sweep of the season on Saturday afternoon.
The doubles session brought only five game losses for the Lady Panthers as they won 8-2, 8-1 and 8-2 to take a 3-0 lead. The singles side were even more lop-sided as DU only lost six games.
In four of the six singles matches, Davenport posted 6-0, 6-0 wins and those came from
Diana Favela,
Denisse Favela,
Stephanie Fortney and
Angelica Woods.
Davenport is now 15-5 on the year and will face Cornerstone, Indiana Tech and Northwestern Ohio in three conference matches this week. Highlighting that will be the Davenport game of the week on Saturday. April 7 when DU hosts Northwestern Ohio.
