Highlights
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Alex Law scored 12 points coming off the bench,
Karli Harris followed with 11, while
Tiesha Stokes and
Kendra Cook both with 10 as Davenport's women's basketball team shot 50 percent from the field to pick up a 93-57 Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference contest against Lawrence Tech Wednesday evening.
In addition to her 11 points, Harris contributed with 7 assists for the Lady Panthers.
Lawrence Tech scored first for Wednesday's matchup with a layup by Hali Butler 10 seconds into the game. Gross got the Panthers on the 3-pointer and after Cook and
Emily Nielsen put a pair on the board, the redshirt senior would go downtown again to put the Panthers ahead 12-2 with 17:09 left.
Gross went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first period. The Panthers held Blue Devils in single digits with 9:53 left in the first period. Nielsen hit a 3-pointer with 58 seconds to go in the half with a little help from Cook. Cook also hit a pair of free throws to send the Lady Panthers to the locker room with a 50-36 lead.
Gross led with nine points for Davenport, Harris produced six assists and Cook led in rebounds with three in the first half.
Law hit three 3 pointers with less than five minutes left in the game. Cook,
Shaina Johnson and
Chri Carter all led the boards with five each.
The Lady Panthers are back on the road this Saturday against WHAC foe Madonna with a tip-off time at 1 p.m.

The Lady Panthers improve their record to 24-1, 16-1(WHAC) with the win against Lawrence Tech.
