A Quick Look at Madonna
The Crusaders saw their three-game win streak snap last Wednesday when they lost 84-71 to 23rd-ranked Cornerstone at home. Chelsea Williams led MU with 20 points to go along with six rebounds while freshman Lizzy Otten added 17 points in the setback. Williams and fellow junior Rachel Melcher both lead the team averaging 15.4 points per game and 41 steals. Melcher is also bringing down 8.3 rebounds per contest and has tallied 79 assists. As a team Madonna is shooting .373 from the field, .278 from 3-point land and .723 from the free throw line.

The Last Time vs. Madonna
Linnea Brandholm scored a then career-high 17 points and Brittany Johnson added 14 points, 10 rebounds and was two assists short from the school's first triple-double, but the two juniors led the Panthers to an 84-63 road victory over Madonna in Livonia last December. After a slow start, the Panthers ignited a 13-1 run that set the tone of the game. Kayleigh VanKeulen would connect the final four points on the run to give the Panthers a 30-16 lead with 7:51 left. DU would lead as many as 19 points in the opening half on two occasions. Davenport went into the locker room leading Madonna 51-34. Brandholm was the only Panther to reach double figures at halftime with 11 points. DU also shot 48.8 percent from the field.

Davenport-Madonna All-Time
The rivalry between Davenport and Madonna began in 2005. Although the Crusaders won the inaugural meeting 79-75, the Panthers hold a commanding 19-6 lead in the series. Among the current Panthers, Tiesha Stokes is shooting .692 in four appearances against the Crusaders while averaging 15.5 points. The Panthers have outscored the Crusaders 2,246-1,882 in the all-time series.
