A Quick Look at Concordia – 6-9, 4-5 WHAC – Head coach Thad Sankey
Several changes have been made to Concordia this season, most notably under new head coach Thad Sankey. Sankey's Cardinals are coming off a 66-45 home win over Cornerstone last Saturday, ending a three-game losing skid. Brooke Adams had 38 points to lead the Cardinals. Despite shooting .488 from the field, Adams is leading the league averaging 25 points per game while Becca Sabol is averaging 10.4 rebounds per game to pace the team.
The Last Time These Two Teams Met
Although both teams eventually earned a spot in the NAIA Division II Tournament last year, Davenport and Concordia met at the DU Student Center last February in the WHAC Tournament to determine the winner of the conference's automatic bid to nationals. The Panthers put away the Cardinals after just 20 minutes of play as they led by 31 at halftime and added 40 more to walk away to a 91-61 victory and earn their fourth straight league tournament championship.
