GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The no. 8 Davenport women's hockey team returns to action this weekend against Grand Valley State after coming off a long three-week break. The Panthers and Lakers will each host one another, as they partake in their first home-and-home series' of the season. The two teams will meet at the Patterson Ice Center on Friday, and then will travel down the road to the Georgetown Ice Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers Davenport comes into the weekend with a 6-2 record, and is coming off a tough 2-game skid as they dropped two games in a weekend series on October 24
th and 25
th against the defending national champion Miami (OH).
Chantal Caraher leads the Panthers with 8 total points, while
Lexie Boydston leads the team with 7 goals.
Caitlin Nosanov has been a crucial aspect to the Panthers success as well, as she is 4-1 on the season behind the net, and has totaled 152 saves in her 5 starts.
Scouting Grand Valley State The Lakers come into this weekend's series with a solid 5-1-1 record on the season, with their lone tie coming in their first game of the season against Michigan State. Since then, GVSU has won five out of their last six games, and have rode the hot stick of Frankie Wojtylo who leads the team in goals (5) and total points (9). Taylor Watson and Lauren Allen have been effective behind the net for the Lakers, as they both hold a combined 5-1-1 record on the season.
CCWHA Outlook Miami (OH) stands well atop the CCWHA rankings after sweeping Davenport three weeks ago, and is now 11-0 on the season. Davenport holds down the second place spot, with Robert Morris not far behind. Both Davenport and Robert Morris have a total of 12 points on the season. Grand Valley rounds up the top 4, as they have 11 points.
