GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Daina Grazulis had 22 points and 14 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season,
Linnea Brandholm went 5-for-8 on the 3-point line to finish with 15 points,
Alex Law finished one-point behind her and
Sara Clancy contributed to a dozen as the No. 2 Davenport women's basketball team put 51 points on the board in the first half to post an 82-41 victory over Roosevelt (Ill.) in the final game of the DU Holiday Classic Tuesday evening.

Kelly Dineen had a career night as the senior notched seven assists while the leader of that department,
Brittany Johnson, had five.

Davenport (13-0) shot 44.6 percent from the field while going 9-for-21 from beyond the arc. The Panthers also dominated the Lakers (6-9) in rebounds 53-38.

Becky Williford led a short-staffed Roosevelt team with 17 points. The Lakers finished the night shooting 30.4 percent overall, 15.4 from 3-point range.

Davenport established a 19-6 lead with 14:37 left thanks to the seniors Brandholm and Grazulis. Grazulis finished the opening period with 16 points, Clancy reached 10 in 10 minutes of work and Brandholm and Law both had nine.

Both teams had a cold start to the second half. In fact, no baskets were made until Roosevelt's Gina Mathews hit a jumper with 15:09 left.
Shaina Johnson made a pair of free throws for the first two points for Davenport of the half but the Panthers were held without a field goal until the 13:06 mark.

The Panthers ended up shooting 38.7 percent in the second half but the defense did limit the Lakers to 19 points.

Following the New Year, Davenport will travel to the other side of Lake Michigan to kick off 2015 with a friendly contest at NCAA Division I Wisconsin-Green Bay Saturday at 2 p.m. EST. On the record, the Panthers' non-conference slate is complete and will finish the regular-season in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play, starting with a road contest against Marygrove Monday at 5:30 p.m.
