Warner No Match for No. 24 Women's Tennis; DU wins 9-0

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The women's tennis team won their second match in a row over a SUN Conference opponent as they swept the Warner Royals 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The win lifts the No. 24 ranked Panthers to 5-4 on the season in dual matches as they will return for a pair of matches on Wednesday against Concordia (Minn.) and Southeastern (Fla.).

Over the last two days, the No. 24 ranked Lady Panthers have defeated both of their opponents, Webber International and Warner University by a combined 17-1 as they picked up a 9-0 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

In the doubles, DU pulled out three close matches as Emily Spiech/Alyssa Fuentes won 8-6, Puck Luttikhuis/Kristi Kuzdal won 9-7 and Marcie Kooyers/Montseraat Elizondo won 8-6.

DU dominated every match in singles as they did not drop a single set and won while only dropping a combined 14 games. Elizondo and Angelica Woods won their matches by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.

The No. 24 ranked Panthers will face Concordia at 8 a.m. and Southeastern at 4 p.m.
