DEARBORN, Mich. – Linnea Brandholm and Alison Bouman both scored 13 points, Tiesha Stokes added 11 and Alex Law tallied 10 as the four led the second-ranked Davenport women's basketball team to its 18th straight win with a crushing 90-52 victory at UM-Dearborn in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play Wednesday evening.

The first-place Panthers (23-1, 16-1 WHAC) moved to four games ahead of Cornerstone after the Golden Eagles fell to crosstown rival Aquinas 78-64. Siena Heights dropped to 4 ½ games after postponing its game against Lourdes due to inclement weather.

Brandholm, who reached double figures in points for the first time since Dec. 28, appeared to have found her groove again by nailing all of her four field goals from beyond the arc. Law, meanwhile, made two of her field goals from 3-point land and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.

Davenport went on to shoot 46.5 percent from the field, 38.5 in 3-point range. The Panthers also reached 14 successful free throws for the third consecutive game.

UM-Dearborn (3-20, 2-15 WHAC) was held to a 38.6 shooting percentile while only connecting three 3-pointers and five charity points. Leading scorer Jalissa Williams led the way for the Wolverines by scoring 14 points and bringing down 10 rebounds for a double-double night.

After both teams scored their first two points one minute into the contest, the Panthers began to run away with the lead using a huge momentum to take a 21-8 lead at the 12:31 mark. Bouman scored six of those points to lead the run.

The Panthers grew the lead to as many as 29, when Kayleigh VanKeulen's 3-point basket improved the lead to 46-17 with 1:29 left.

Brandholm led the way with 10 points as Davenport went into intermission leading 49-23. Stokes paced the Panthers on the boards with four, all offensively.

Davenport will play four of the five remaining games on the regular-season slate at the friendly confines of the Student Center starting with Beltline rival Aquinas Saturday at 1 p.m. The Panthers held on to beat the Saints 59-49 in their last meeting at Aquinas a month ago.
