GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After taking a much needed weekend off from the ice, a well-rested Davenport women's hockey team begins the longest road trip of the season this weekend as it heads south to Lynchburg, Va., to play a two-game non-conference series rematch with Liberty. The Panthers and Lady Flames will have the late-night shift in game one with a 10 p.m. faceoff time Friday. Both teams will have short rest as they return to the ice for game two Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Davenport Report – 7-16-0-0, 6-10-0-0 CCWHA
The Panthers, who are midway through their season-long and ending eight-game road trip, return to action for the first time since dropping two Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association games to Robert Morris (Ill.) two weeks ago. Despite the losses, Davenport snapped its four-game scoreless streak.

Lexie Boydston scored two goals and points leader
Chantal Caraher added one along with an assist. Caraher is one away from her 40
th point on the year, having net 18 goals and tallying 21 assists. Boydston currently paces the team with 20 goals and Adams has 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points to round out the Panthers currently in double figures on the year.
A Quick Look at Liberty – 12-8-4 – Head Coach Paul Bloomfield
Under the direction of Paul Bloomfield, the Lady Flames has been playing nine of its 10 remaining games on the schedule at LaHaye Ice Center. Liberty recently swept a two-game meeting with Northeastern last weekend to extend its win streak to three. While 14 Lady Flames have found the back of the net this season, Carrie Jickling is the only one in double figures with 10. Marissa Graham has seven goals and is leading the team in both assists (11) and points (18). Chantal Lischynski has seen the most minutes between the pipes this season, clocking in nearly 549 minutes of work. She owns a 1.75 goal-against average and has stopped 179 shots.
The Last Time vs. Liberty
Liberty made a trip up north to Patterson Ice Center on Jan. 10 to play the Panthers. Jickling scored two goals in the first period and added an assist in the Lady Flames 5-0 win over the Panthers.
Victoria Smishek led the defensive effort for the Panthers by making 39 saves.
