No. 25 Women’s Tennis Travels to Hillsdale before Hosting Marian and Cardinal Stritch

Women's Tennis Schedule | NAIA Top-25 Poll

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport will continue its spring schedule this weekend when they play host to Marian University (Ind.) and Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) in a pair of dual matches at the East Paris Courts in Grand Rapids. Davenport will also play a road match against Hillsdale on Friday. The Lady Panthers come into the weekend as the No. 25 ranked team in the country in the latest NAIA Women's Tennis Poll which was released on Tuesday afternoon.

Davenport women's tennis has won its last six matches overall since falling to Top-10 Northwood (Fla.) and they have done it in convincing fashion while dropping only one individual point during the run. DU will look to continue that momentum when they play host to Marian University and Cardinal Stritch on Saturday in two matches that will be played at the East Paris Courts in Grand Rapids.

The Panthers will get the week started with a road match at GLIAC foe Hillsdale College before welcoming in a pair of outstanding NAIA programs.

Marian, DU's first opponent at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, comes into the week ranked just ahead of the Panthers at No. 21 in the country. The Knights are 14-4 overall and have won their last two matches against Webber International and Saint Ambrose. MU has played only one ranked team this spring as they also fell to Northwood 9-0 just like DU.

The second match will pit DU against Cardinal Stritch. The Wolves, out of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC), are ranked No. 20 in the latest poll and own a record of 10-2 while they are winners in their last four matches overall.
