GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It's been five weeks since the last time the No. 13 Davenport women's hockey team has taken the ice but the Panthers finally return to the Patterson Ice Center this Friday and Saturday to take on No. 12 Robert Morris. The puck set to drop at 8 p.m. both nights, with Friday's game being played on the Olympic rink.

The Panthers Davenport welcomes newcomer
Nina Van Orshaegen, a freshman from Olen, Belgium to the team this semester, as she will see playing time between the net for the remainder of the season.
After a little over five weeks off without playing a game, head coach
Tom Hofman had this to say about the upcoming weekend series: "The girls are fresh after the extended time off and looking forward the challenge of playing a really good league team at home. This is an opportunity to earn some very important points in the standings coming down the stretch. The coaching staff is excited about the new additions to our lineup and think they'll help us get to that next level."
Scouting Robert Morris (13-6-1) Robert Morris comes into the weekend-series in second place in the CCWHA, just six points behind Miami (OH). The Eagles are led by freshman sensation Makaila Anderson, who leads the team in points (30) and goals (21). Robert Morris has had Davenport's number in the past year, owning a series record of 3-0 against the Panthers. The last time the two faced off against one another was in the first round of the CCWHA playoffs, where Robert Morris won 9-3.
CCWHA Outlook After the cancellation of several games last weekend, Miami (OH) University remains on top the CCWHA standings for the 16
th straight week with 33 points and a 16-0-1 record. Robert Morris sits at second place with a 13-6-1 record after going 1-0-1 against Michigan State, who now sits in fourth place behind Davenport who is in third. Grand Valley State rounds out the top five with 15 points, tied with MSU.
