The Panthers

The Panthers have been playing some of the best hockey of the season over their last five games, going 4-0-1 during that span. Davenport tied CCWHL's second place team Robert Morris in game one of their series, followed by defeating them 6-1 in game two to cut their deficient in the standings to seven points. Darian Adams and Chantal Caraher led the way for the Panthers, combining for a total of 15 points between the two in the series. Adams went on to claim her second Davenport women's athlete of the week of the season thanks to three goals and five assists in the two games.

Scouting Wisconsin (2-13-2)

Wisconsin ranks fifth in the WWCHL standings, and is coming off of a nearly seven-week break heading into the weekend series. The Badgers are led by forward Jessica Foley, who leads the team in goals (10), assists (5), and total points (15). Samantha Azuma and Nali Mullan share duties at goaltender for Wisconsin, combining for a 4.18 goals against average and a 2-10-2 record.

ACHA Rankings

The third ACHA women's division I rankings were released this week, in which Davenport remained in the 13th spot. A majority of the teams in the previous top 15 also stayed where they were at, with the exception of UMass, Adrian, and the University of Michigan, who have now moved into the top five. Defending national champions Miami (OH) remains in the number one spot, as well as Liberty University in the number two spot.
