Lexie Boydston scored her sixth goal of the year at 8:02 of the second from
Katie Dubro. After a scoreless third period, Scaturro provided the abrupt ending in overtime. MSU went 0-for-4 on the power play while DU went 1-for-7.
"Tonight was one of those really tough losses that stick with you," said head coach
Tom Hofman. "Karley (Ferguson) had a great game and made some terrific saves (32 total) for her team. The rest need to finish on their chances especially on the power play. The team will have to use this loss as motivation and push to get better. We have a short week of practice and still have a lot to prove to ourselves and the rest of the league."
