Panthers Fall 3-0 at Michigan

Karley Ferguson made 28 saves in the loss

Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The women's hockey team could not hit the back of the net on Saturday in a 3-0 loss at Michigan in CCWHA action. The Wolverines scored once in the first period and added two more goals in the third. Carolyn Andonian scored the game's first goal at the 8:07 mark of the opening period with an assist going to Jennifer Cusmano.

Ania Dow made it 2-0 at 9:22 of the third with another assist to Cusmano. Mercedes Reyes scored the final goal at 15:22 with assists to Leah Kreiger and Sarah Girard. All three of UM's goals came at even strength.

"We dominated the second period but couldn't sustain that momentum in the third," said head coach Tom Hofman. "The team came out flat in the last frame and let Michigan build their confidence and get ahead. Karley (Ferguson) played great in net stopping 28-of-31 shots. We had a lot of opportunities to score, but we need to capitalize on them tomorrow morning."
