Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's hockey team took on the No. 1 Flames in Friday's matchup. The Panthers were looking to snap their seven-game losing streak entering the game. The Flames get the offense going early in the first, they scored just 1:30 into the game. The second period started the same way, but this time Liberty scored just a minute into the period. Minutes later Liberty added another one to their lead. The Flames now lead the Panthers 3-0. The Flames added two more to their lead during the second period and lead 5-0 after two periods.
The third period started differently than the first two. This time it was Davenport's Lexie Boydston scoring with a nice shot over the Flames goalie's blocker. The score was now 5-1. The Flames continued their scoring adding three more to their total and defeating DU 8-1.
