Box Score Allendale, Mich. – After losing a pair of games to Michigan State last weekend, the Davenport D2 hockey team faced local rival Grand Valley State. Davenport tied the game in the third period, but lost the game 4-2.
Chris McRae and
Dugan Kelly scored the two goals for the Panthers, but Davenport is now 16-4-1 on the year. DU will conclude their regular season on Sunday afternoon against Grand Valley State.

Davenport looked to come out with the same energy as they did in the first meeting between these two teams, but the Lakers were the ones able to grab the momentum in the game as they grabbed a two goal lead as the game went into the third period.

The Panthers started to make their comeback as
Chris McRae got DU on the board off feed from
Branden Burton, and Davenport was able to tie the game as
Dugan Kelly scored the tying goal, while
Zachary Bodziak picked up the assist on the goal.

Late in the third period, Davenport took a five minute major penalty and the Lakers were able to score two goals on the power play and take a 4-2. Davenport was unable to bounce back from their second two goal deficit in the game as they lost to Grand Valley State, 4-2.
Andrew Habasevich played in net and drops to 7-3-0 on the season, while the Panthers drop their third straight game and are 16-4-1 on the year.

Davenport will face Grand Valley State Sunday afternoon at Georgetown Ice Arena to close out their 2014-15 regular season.
