Panthers-Saints Play for WHAC Tourney Crown Again
For the second straight season, Davenport and Siena Heights will meet at the Student Center for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament championship. The last time these two schools clashed for the tournament crown a year ago, the Saints had a one-point lead with 10 seconds to go but Kia Frazier's penetrating layup with 4.3 seconds left gave the Panthers a 75-74 thrilling victory for their fifth straight tournament championship. Since Davenport had won the WHAC regular-season title and had already received an automatic bid to the NAIA Division II Tournament, Siena Heights will receive the conference's second berth to nationals by reaching the WHAC Tournament final.

A Quick Look at Siena Heights
The Saints had to really earn the second automatic berth to their third straight trip to the NAIA Division II Tournament after playing to a 95-87 overtime win over Madonna in the WHAC Tournament semifinal Saturday. Two-time All-WHAC first team selection Sierra Calhoun scored a school-record 41 points along with 11 rebounds for a double-double to lead Siena Heights to its 26th win on the year. Calhoun paces the entire ballclub averaging 17.8 points per game and is shooting 46 percent.

Panthers vs. Siena Heights
This will be the 25th all-time meeting between Davenport and Siena Heights and the second straight year for the WHAC Tournament championship.

The Last Time They Met
Alex Law and Daina Grazulis combined for 30 points in the second half as Davenport kept its undefeated record intact with a 71-52 road victory over then-No. 18 Siena Heights in Adrian back in January. Grazulis finished the game with 26 points and a dozen rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. After going scoreless in the first half, Law found her rhythm in the second by going a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range and adding her two free throws in as many chances for a 14 point evening. Tiesha Stokes made a return for the first time since Dec. 6 and played a key role to helping the Panthers in the first half, scoring all eight points in the opening period. Siena Heights relied heavily on leading scorer Sierra Calhoun, who produced 21 points including seven on the charity stripe, to lead the Saints. Jessie Arnold completed a double-double with a dozen points and 11 rebounds.
