WHITING, Ind. – After competing in Illinois on Friday, the Davenport tennis teams traveled to Indiana to conclude their weekend road trip, where they faced Calumet College of St. Joseph. Both teams were able to get back on the winning track as the men and women's teams beat the Crimson Wave, 9-0. The women's team will be back in action on Wednesday as they open their WHAC schedule at Concordia, while the men's team will be back in action in two weeks when they travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to face Cardinal Stritch and Marian (Ind.).

In the men's match, Davenport was able to take control of the match in the early going as they won all three doubles matches, while only dropping four games throughout the doubles segment. In singles, the Panthers continued to roll as they did not drop a single set to the Crimson Wave as they went on to win, 9-0. Davenport now moves to 5-6 on the season, and snaps their two match skid.

The women's team was able to move back to 4-4 on the season after sweeping Calumet College of St. Joseph, 9-0. In doubles, the Lady Panthers took all three matches as they won the first two double matches, 8-2, before they concluded doubles play with an 8-1 win at number three doubles by
Bridget Barrett and
Montserrat Elizondo. Davenport continued their run in the singles matches as they won all six matches in straight sets.

WHAC play opens up for the women's team on Wednesday as they travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face Concordia, while the men's team will continue their non-conference schedule as they return to action in two weeks to face Cardinal Stritch and Marian (Ind.) in Indianapolis, Ind.
