GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Jessica Lemcke scored four goals,
Kaitlyn Lowden and
Sara Kuzava both contributed three as the Davenport women's lacrosse team outscored Aquinas 8-3 in the second half to run away with a 14-7 win over its crosstown rivals in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals on a warm Friday evening on the Turf Field.

Davenport (13-3) will host the winner of the Lawrence Tech/Indiana Tech matchup for the conference's tournament championship Saturday at 5 p.m.

Brooke Knoll,
Bridget Zuidgeest,
Tara Pluger and
Amber Livingston each found the back of the net once while
Taylor Balch was credited with five assists.

Samantha Powers collected her 12
th win of the season after making five of her six total saves in the first half.

Newly crowned WHAC Offensive Player of the Year Alexandra Burns led the effort for the Saints (8-10) tallying five goals. Mikela Caseria and Theresa Micallef each scored once.

The Panthers outshot the Saints 32-16 and had edged them in groundballs 18-15. Powers picked up four while
Natalie McHale collected three.

After trading the lead several times in the first 10 minutes of the game, Davenport broke the 3-3 tie with 10:13 left and added three more in nearly five minutes. The Panthers went into the break leading 6-4.

Although the Saints scored two early goals to tie the game six apiece, it was the final time as the Panthers went on to score eight of the next nine goals.
