BELLEVILLE, Ill. –
Kaitlyn Lowden four of her five goals in the first half as the senior helped pilot the second-seeded Davenport women's lacrosse team to a 15-3 win over No. 3 Georgetown on a cool Friday evening and send the Panthers to their first National Women's Lacrosse League Championship appearance.

The Panthers (16-3) will face top seed Savannah College of Art and Design for the championship Saturday at 6:30 p.m. EDT. The two teams met back last month where the Bees claimed the game 14-9 in Georgetown, Ky.

Sara Kuzava and
Jessica Lemcke also joined Lowden in the hat trick department, scoring three goals.
Taylor Balch was tabbed with four assists.

Mackenzie VanDerWarf collected five groundballs to lead the Panthers while
Sydney Gray was credited for two of Davenport's five caused turnovers.

Samantha Powers made five saves and allowed two goals in nearly 44 minutes of play before turning the goalkeeping duties over to
Lena Henderson.

The Panthers dominated in shooting 25-10 and won the groundballs department 27-20.

In their first meeting since the Panthers took down the Tigers (11-4) in Kentucky last month, Davenport never trailed in tonight's contest. In fact, the Panthers jumped to a 5-0 within the first 12 minutes of the contest. The Tigers (11-4) scored the first goal at the 15:35 mark to make it 5-1 and that was a close of a deficit they had with the Panthers.

Lowden net her fourth goal as time expired at the first half to give the Panthers an 8-2 lead at the break.
