GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's tennis team played their first dual match this fall and won 7-2 over visiting Lake Superior State.

The Panthers took all three doubles matches against the Lakers. Alyssa Fuentes and Puck Luttikhuis claimed an 8-1 win at one doubles over Sarah Awe and Tara Harvey. Steph Ritson and Anne Douwes won 8-2 at two doubles over Laura Fernandez and Jenay Andrews. Hannah Murphy and Emily Spiech also got a victory at three doubles.

Douwes got another point at two singles with a 7-6, 7-6 win over Harvey. Ritson also got a win at three singles with a 7-6, 6-1 edge over Laura Roberts. Spiech got a win at four singles and Murphy went three sets with Andrews (5-7, 6-4, 12-10).
