EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Panthers hop right back on the horse so to say as they head into East Lansing and beat the Spartans 2-1 tonight. Davenport had previously lost to the Spartans 9-2, seven days ago. However, that made the Panthers hungry for victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The first period was one of little action in the scoring category as neither team would score a goal. This was the most penalized period as the Panthers received six penalty minutes and the Spartans received two penalty minutes.
-The second period saw each team step it up a notch as both teams would score a goal.
Victoria Dubuc would score DU's goal, she was assisted by
Ashley Reese.

Lexie Boydston would provide the veteran experience to the game as she would net the game winning goal in the third period. The goal was unassisted and was Boydston's third goal of the season.
UP NEXTThe Panthers have some time to enjoy this victory as they don't play for another seven days. This week was a one game week for the Panthers and they took care of business. The women's hockey team will be back in action on the 21
st of October against Adrian College, 8 p.m. start time at the Patterson Ice Arena.
