The Eagles scores in the last two minute of the third period to pull out the win

BENSENVILLE, Ill. – The Panthers drop a close game to Robert Morris on Saturday 5-4 and split the weekend series 1-1. Davenport found some life while in Illinois over the weekend as they scored six goals in the two game series. The six goals were the most in a two game series for the Panthers this season, showing that they are starting to find a groove offensively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first period saw the Panthers on top early as Victoria Dubuc scored the only goal of the period for either team in the 13th minute.
-The second period was a strong offensive showing by both teams, as DU would score two goals and the Eagles would score three goals to tie the game at 3-3 after 40 minutes of play. Lexie Boydston would score both goals for DU during the period, she was assisted by Olivia Rudberg and Dubuc.
-Emily Ellis got the Panthers on the board first in the third period propelling DU to a 4-3 lead. The Eagles would score the next two goals and win 5-4. Robert Morris scored with 1:21 left on the clock in the period to take the lead.
-Boydston led DU with two goals and now has five goals on the season.
-Zoie Amatore, Rudberg and Dubuc all had one assist tonight. Adrienne Porcalla leads DU with three assists on the season.
-Karley Ferguson spent the majority of the game in net and she tallied 29 saves. She holds a 2.96 goals against average through nine games.
 
UP NEXT
Davenport has the opportunity to skate on familiar ice as they host Sault College (Canada) this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game will be played at 8pm and Saturday's will be played at 12:30pm, both games will be played at Patterson Ice Arena.
