GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's basketball team improved to 2-0 with an 86-67 win over visiting Huntington (Ind.) on Saturday. The Foresters played the Panthers even in the first and fourth quarter but DU outscored them by 19 in the middle quarters for the victory.
Mallory Sewell scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Panthers. She shot 7-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-6 at the free throw line in 23 minutes.

Emily Severn scored 10 points and made two triples. The Panthers shot 45.2 percent for the contest and were 15-of-17 at the foul line. The big difference came on the glass as DU was plus-17 (47-30) including 19 offensive boards and 26 second-chance points compared to four for Huntington.
Molly Babbs led the team with nine rebounds and chipped in eight points.
Amanda Merz led with five assists and scored six points in 19 minutes.
