GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team picked up their ninth straight win with a 9-0 decision over Calvin College on Thursday afternoon. DU is now 10-3 overall while Calvin is 2-2.
Alyssa Fuentes and
Puck Luttikhuis picked up an 8-3 win at one doubles for the team's second point.
Emily Spiech and
Hannah Murphy got the first point on the board with an 8-1 win at three doubles.
Steph Ritson and
Anne Douwes, the reigning WHAC Player of the Week, beat Jessica Bouma and Micaela Seazzu 8-5 at two doubles for a sweep of three points.
Luttikhuis got her 100th win at Davenport in straight sets (6-1, 6-1) at two singles against Claire Spoelhof. Spiech recently became the winningest player at DU and got another win at four singles (6-0, 6-2) over Seazzu.
Bridget Barrett at five singles won 6-4, 6-2 over Alyssa Bowman. Murphy got the team's sixth point at six singles (6-1, 6-1) over Liz Turner.
