GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport women's tennis team captured their fourth WHAC regular season championship in the last five years with an 8-1 win over Aquinas on Saturday. The team swept through doubles and won at two through six singles.
Alyssa Fuentes and
Puck Luttikhuis won 8-6 at one doubles over Lea Jansen and Martina Devetak.
Hannah Murphy and
Emily Spiech won 8-2 at two doubles over Marjeanne Bothma and Anna Musiyenko.
Steph Ritson and
Bridget Barrett won 8-1 at three doubles over Brittany Mayer and Kasey Jacobs.
Luttikhuis beat Devetak 6-2, 6-0 at two singles. Ritson beat Bothma 6-0, 6-0 at three singles. Spiech beat Musiyenko 7-6, 6-0 at four singles. Murphy beat Mayer 6-1, 6-2 at five singles. Barrett beat Jacobs 6-2, 6-0 at six singles. The Panthers conclude the regular season 111-44 at dual singles and 59-22 at dual doubles.
