GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Davenport University is getting ready for its inaugural football season.
The Panthers hosted their first spring game this week, showcasing lots of talent from around West Michigan. Among the familiar names are Lowell's Kyle Shurlow, Grand Rapids Catholic Central's Taylor Foster and East Kentwood's Mike Ivy.
Sunday, head coach Lou Esposito stopped by Sports Overtime to talk about building a program from the ground up, what the team is doing to prepare for its first season and the West Michigan standouts playing for him.
